A concussion is a traumatic brain injury caused when the brain is jarred or shook within the skull. They can happen in a variety of settings, most commonly from sports injuries, falls, and auto accidents. Concussions can produce headaches, mood changes, loss of focus, neck pain, nausea, and dizziness. Most people will recover fully with rest and proper treatment. However, physical therapy can help patients who experience these symptoms and speed up their recovery.
